A nordic adventure exploring what it means to be free
In September, two professional filmmakers, Geraint Hill and Robert Cairns, are setting off to pedal 1,500 km through Norway, Finland and Sweden, exploring the Finnish concept of “jokamiehenoikeus” or “freedom to roam”. Grn Sportswear is really proud to be one of their kit suppliers as they cycle singlespeed from the Northern Arctic Circle to the shores of the Baltic Sea taking in the landscape and culture of Scandinavia and creating a film about their experiences.
The concept of sustainability is firmly embedded in this trip – the Grn Sportswear jerseys they are wearing have been created from recycled plastics and where possible they are reusing and repairing products for their journey. Their film will show the magnificent beauty of Lapland and the North of Europe, meet the people who live in that environment and inspire the viewer to get out and see more of their environment, in a responsible way. We are really looking forward to seeing their work on the open road. Follow their adventure on Instagram at fixedadventures as they cycle, camp, eat and discover the culture of the “right to roam”.
